“Real Time PCR” is the technique of determining DNA and displaying its amount in real time using fluorescent dyes. The fluorescent signal increases in direct proportion to the amount of PCR product. The results can be obtained during PCR analysis.
In real time PCR, DNA binding dyes are used as fluorescent reporters to monitor the real time PCR reaction. The fluorescence of the reporter dye increases as the product accumulates with each successive cycle of amplification.
